STRIKE Terms of Service

Welcome to STRIKE. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the STRIKE fishing log and community app. By creating an account or using STRIKE, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use STRIKE.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use STRIKE. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the catches, photos, comments, and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant STRIKE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and provide the app (for example, showing your catch in the feed or in a friend group you share it to). You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other users.
• Post content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, or obscene.
• Share another person's private fishing locations or personal information without permission.
• Encourage trespassing, poaching, or violation of fishing laws and regulations.
• Misuse, scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or other users' data.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Fishing Laws, Licenses, and Safety

• You are solely responsible for obtaining required fishing licenses and for complying with all local, state, and federal fishing regulations, seasons, limits, and private-property and access rules.
• Locations, directions, and "where fish are biting" information are provided for convenience only. STRIKE does not verify that any location is safe, legal, or open to public access. Navigate and fish at your own risk.
• Bite forecasts, spawn timing, and weather information are estimates for entertainment and planning, with no guarantee of accuracy.

6. AI Fish Identification

STRIKE's AI fish identification is automated and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on it for decisions about whether a fish is safe to eat, protected, or legal to keep. Always verify species independently and follow local regulations.

7. Friend Groups and Shared Locations

When you share a catch to a friend group, you choose to disclose its precise location to that group's members. STRIKE is not responsible for how group members use shared locations. Only share with people you trust.

8. Tournaments

• The organizer is responsible. Anyone who creates a tournament is solely responsible for it — its rules, its fairness, any entry fee, any prize, and its compliance with all applicable laws where it is held. STRIKE is a scorekeeping tool and is not a sponsor, operator, promoter, judge, or party to any tournament.
• Paid entries. Organizers may charge an entry fee for a tournament. Entry fees are paid by the entrant directly to the organizer through our payment processor (Stripe); STRIKE never collects, holds, escrows, or distributes entry fees or prizes. STRIKE charges the organizer a platform service fee deducted from each entry at the time of payment.
• Organizer responsibilities for paid tournaments. The organizer of a paid tournament is the sole operator of that contest. The organizer represents and warrants that they are at least 18 years old; that the tournament is a bona fide contest of skill and is lawful where it is conducted; that they hold any permit or license required for the tournament (including any state fishing-tournament or wildlife-agency permit); and that they will award every advertised prize to the winning entrant(s) as published. Prize fulfillment, entry refunds, and all tax obligations arising from entry fees or prizes are exclusively the organizer's responsibility.
• Entrant terms. By paying an entry fee you acknowledge the fee is paid to the organizer, is non-refundable except as the organizer provides, and is payment to enter a contest of skill — it is not a wager. You must be at least 18 years old to pay a tournament entry fee. STRIKE provides scoring software only and is not a party to the contest.
• Skill contests only. Tournaments organized through STRIKE must be contests of skill. No tournament on STRIKE may involve wagering, side bets, per-catch or head-to-head bets, pooled prize funds contingent on entry volume held by any party other than the organizer, or any element of chance determining winners. You may not use STRIKE to conduct, promote, or facilitate gambling, betting, games of chance, lotteries, or raffles, or any contest that is unlawful where it is held or where participants are located.
• You must be 18 or older to organize a tournament that involves an entry fee or a prize.
• Prizes and taxes. Whoever awards a prize is responsible for delivering it and for any tax reporting or withholding obligations that come with it. STRIKE has no obligation to any participant regarding any prize.
• Results are not official. Standings are calculated automatically from catches shared to the group and may be affected by connectivity, user error, edits, or inaccurate entries. Organizers should verify results independently before awarding anything. STRIKE makes no guarantee that any standing or result is accurate or final.
• Disputes. Any dispute about a tournament, its scoring, its conduct, or its prizes is between the participants and the organizer. STRIKE is not responsible for resolving it and is not liable for any outcome.
• We may remove tournaments. We can remove or refuse any tournament at our discretion, including any we believe is unlawful, deceptive, or in breach of these Terms.

9. Premium Features

STRIKE may offer optional paid features in the future. If and when paid features are introduced, applicable pricing and additional terms will be presented to you before purchase.

10. Disclaimers

STRIKE is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STRIKE and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app, your reliance on any information in it, or your fishing activities. Your use of STRIKE is at your own risk.

12. Termination

You may stop using STRIKE and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the app and its users.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as STRIKE evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
